Scotts is a trained Therapy & Education dog and is now the uk’s first Reading Education Assistance Dog.

Scottsy is a large ex-racing greyhound, he goes into schools and children sit or stand and read books to him. This works especially well with special need’s and reluctant readers as he of course doesn’t judge etc. It is a part of Animal Assisted Therapy/Activities, using the dog as a learning tool. Children relate to animals and a bond is often set between them; Scotts has had great results with autistic, down’s and adhd children.

Scotts has also featured in the news about his wonderful work with children. PLease use the links below 🙂
